About the workshop
The workshop aims to provide information, tools and techniques to maximise the use of HEInnovate.
30 participants will have chance to
- understand the role HEInnovate can play in developing their institutions’ innovative and entrepreneurial potential
- to carry out their own HEInnovate assessments in group supported by group discussions and workshops
- be aware of the variety of supporting materials and initiatives available and understand how to make the most of them
The training sessions offer the possibility of international networking with like-minded people with the interest in advancing their institution’s innovative and entrepreneurial nature.
Participants profile
This is for professionals working for higher education institutions who are interested in learning how to use HEInnovate within their organisation and with their partners.
Prior knowledge of HEInnovate is preferable but not necessary.
Priority will be given to candidates who
- have never attended any “Train the Trainers” workshop
- are linked to one of the 65 European Universities Alliances
- are based in Europe
The selection process will respect gender and geographical balance.
Only 30 spots are available.
Practical information
- The workshop will take place on 22-23 September 2026 at Campus Myllypuro of the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Finland.
- Application deadline is 20 July 2026.
- Registration and participation are free of charge.
- Travel and accommodation will be covered.
About the organisers
The training is organised by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture in collaboration with the PPMI Group. It is an initiative of the Erasmus+ Programme.
The training is linked to HEInnovate (an EU initiative in cooperation with the OECD), a tool of the European Strategy for Universities and the EHESO Strategic Transformation Toolbox.
